Bent in the Wrong Direction

Isaiah 53:6 ~ The Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Iniquity means “to be bent or inclined toward.” In Genesis 13:12 it says Lot pitched his tent toward Sodom. It proved to be a fatal attraction. He lost everything he’d spent his life working for, including his family, because he leaned the wrong way. It works like this, you sow a thought you reap a deed, you sow a deed you reap a habit, you sow a habit you reap a character, sow a character & reap a destiny!

When we give into certain inclinations, we’re hooked. We have all been there! You can get hooked on say drugs, alcohol, food, even on staying away from God’s word & His people the church. The good news is that Jesus came to get you off the hook.

Iniquity means to be bent, but Jesus came to straighten us out, and He is only waiting for permissions to do it. If you’re tired of fighting those inner drives and inclinations, let Him have your life in totality. He will say to you what He said to Isaiah, and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sing purged (Isaiah 6:7).
