John 1:1 ~ He came into His own, and His own received Him not (Jesus).

How many of us would spend our last night with someone if we knew they were going to betray us the next day? Jesus did! He was faithful when we were not. There is no greater opportunity to grow in Christian love than when you’re rejected and abused. Jesus asked the Father to forgive those who crucified Him.

How we handle rejection, reveals whether you have truly died to self and to the world. In the old testament according to Leviticus 21:20, a priest was not allowed to minister if he had scabs. A scab is a unhealed wound. As a result, when you have unhealed spiritual wounds, you’re touchy and can’t function the way God wants. Consequently it will show up in the things you say. Therefore you need to be healed, for it’s only when you pass the rejection test that you can reach out in love to make others whole.
