Weekly Word: January 22nd, Reset Voice

January 22nd – January 28th

~ Psalms 71:15-16 My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds, of your saving acts all day long— though I know not how to relate them all. I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign Lord; I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone. ~

Who can live that way and talk that way in today’s world? I know we can, if we have asked the Lord to reset our hearts. With all of our heart totally yielded to God and renewed mind with the truth from the bible, now our voices are declaring His goodness and righteous acts – Just like Jesus did.

He spoke truth, love, peace, restoration, healing, and He spoke LIFE! Remember, when you have allowed Jesus to reset your heart and mind don’t be surprised when you are  given opportunities to speak up for God. When those opportunities come don’t be shy about seizing them, please say something.

Release life through your words, God will do the rest!

Weekly Word: January 9th, Reset

Reset The New Year

Revelation 21:5 says: He who was seated on throne said, “I am making all things new!”

The new year is always a good time to reset or start over.

To reset something is to restore it to it’s original design, it’s original purpose, or to it’s original intent.

When your smart phone is sluggish and can’t seem to muster the energy to do anything you ask it to, it needs to have all its apps shut down and its power rebooted; it needs reset. When our marriages and relationships dissolve into a series of misses and misunderstandings, we need an infusion of effective communication, creativity, quality time, and enthusiasm; it needs to be reset.

Reset The New Year

Whatever in our lives that has broken down or if we are just not experiencing the abundant life Jesus offers, we need a reset. Jesus offers us the opportunity to reset our lives from sin, cynicism, and self reliance to faith in Jesus, His grace, love, & His transformation. All other resets we want & need can, and will follow.

Please join us starting Jan. 8th, for a four part Sunday series “Reset.”

Jesus, reset my heart, my mind, my voice, & my hands.

May the Lord bless you as we RESET our lives to conform with His and the good news is that He supplies all the power!

In Celebration of Him,

Pastor Turner

The Attitude of Gratitude

Freely you have received: freely give. Matthew 10:8

The Bible teaches sowing in order to reap, or giving for a desired result. In salvation, you gave your heart to Jesus expecting something in return – eternal life, and He didn’t disappoint you. It also says about Jesus, “who for the joy set before Him endured the cross despising shame and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2 He looked beyond the cross to the throne that was his reward.
